For this assignment, you will watch ONE of the documentaries on the list below
and write a response paper. You will not be narrating the story to me, instead I
would like you to focus on the major themes in the film as related to the class. I
would like you to link themes from the film to what we have studied in the course,
such as, (to list a few suggestions): race, ethnicity, story-telling, gender, family
dynamics, culture, nonverbal communication, attraction, privilege, or stereotyping.
Remember that a reflection paper of a film is not a critique of the work. Be sure to
focus on the concepts from class. Please draw connections to at least 5 concepts
you have learned in class that are highlighted in this film. Please BOLD the
concepts that you chose to highlight in the paper and give context to them. Be sure
to give examples from the film. This assignment is worth 75 points.
For this assignment, the paper should be 2-3 full pages, double-spaced, 12-
point font, APA format, and in Times New Roman font only.
Be sure to BOLD the five concepts in your paper, that way its easier for me
to focus on them.
Give examples (context) from the film as to where those concepts arose.
