Topic: History of Philippines Democracy
Write an essay addressing the question below, and explain your answer (and argument) by focusing on either A or B.
Is Philippine democracy dead? Why or why not?
A. If it died, at what point in Philippine political history did it die? And why do you think it was at that point and how did democracy die? Instantly or gradually? Who were involved in its death? And if it is dead, how do we describe Philippine politics now?
B. If it is not dead what are the indications or evidence that it is still alive? Who are those involved in keeping it alive? How did they oppose those trying to kill democracy? What are the prospects of democracy being nourished back to full health?
Be concrete in backing up your argument(s) using the Group PowerPoints, and the Lecture PowerPoints provided
