Final Written Communication Plan

The structure of the final deliverable is as follows:
1. A well-crafted Title (10 words or less) and a Cover page
2. Executive Summary: This is a high-level overview of your communication plan. This is usually written last after the rest of the plan has been completed. It summarizes your main points so that a busy boss does not have to read the entire document. Write this last but place it first, after the Cover Page.
3. Strategic Communication Goal/Purpose: What is your goal or purpose? To raise awareness? To solve a specific problem? To raise money? Be Creative!
4. Audience Profile: Who is your target audience? Be very specific. Use demographics.
5. Communication Messages: What is/are the message(s) you will communicate?
6. Communication Channels/Vehicles: How will you communicate your message to your target audience? While your list wont include all the possible channels, it should include a good mix of traditional (e.g., newsletter, newspaper, radio, television) and non-traditional (e.g., social media, digital) vehicles.
7. Communication Strategy Implementation: How would you expect to implement this strategy? What would the timing of implementation be?
8. Evaluation: How will you know when you have succeeded? How will you measure success?
