COMMUNITY RESOURCES FIELD ASSIGNMENT:
Social Work/Human Services is deeply rooted in community engagement. This assignment allows students to learn about the resources in their communities. It will also provide insight into the social problems and the organizations that are dedicated to alleviating those problems
o Students will choose a population of interest (can be the same as you wrote about in your motivational reflection assignment)
o Find a community resource that provides services to that population
o Contact that community resource agency and schedule an interview (phone, face to face, virtual)
o Complete a written assessment of the interview and what you learned.
