Observation and Assessment

For this assignment, you will be accessing California’s Desired Results system.
You will be creating a power point presentation between 10-15 slides, not counting the title and reference slides.
This presentation will highlight the five developmental domains for infant and toddlers: Self and Social Development, Language and Literacy, Cognitive, Motor and Perceptual, Health.
You will be accessing the Desired Results website for the content of your presentation.

For your presentation, you will be choosing a specific age group either birth- 12 months, 12-18 months or 18-35 months. Once you have selected your age group, you will be answering the following questions:
• What would be important to observe with children in this age group during their natural daily routine?
• Describe the types of assessment tools you could use and why you would use them.
• Create a sample of an anecdotal note using objective observations (make sure to include a picture/graphic)
• Include a list of activities that will scaffold the childcix’s learning for each domain.
