Write a Lesson Plan using the CLD method that suits you and your students
Step 1.
Review the presentations of CLD methods posted by your peers.
Review the following web page — “Using Content and Language Objectives to Help All Students in Their Learning Strategies” by Shanthi Kumar (2018) – https://achievethecore.org/aligned/using-content-and-language-objectives-to-help-all-students-in-their-learning/ and
Select and view at least one video from Larry Ferlazzo’s “THE BEST VIDEOS FOR CONTENT TEACHERS WITH ELLS IN THEIR CLASSES” (2017) at https://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/2017/07/14/the-best-videos-for-content-teachers-with-ells-in-their-classes-please-suggest-more/ .
Step 2.
Develop a lesson plan that includes content objectives and language objectives that you would want to facilitate/teach with your own students. Use the format and guidelines utilized at your school and/or in your district.
Write a reflection paragraph explaining why you chose the method you did, and citing any approaches, methods, strategies, or techniques you incorporated from the Shanthi Kumar (2018) and/or Larry Ferlazzo (2017) resources.
Include the lesson plan and reflection at the bottom of this paper as an Appendix, highlighting the content and language objectives.
POST YOUR LESSON PLAN and REFLECTION to Discussion Board #4 for a peer to respond to.
Step 3.
Respond to at least two of your peer’s lesson plans.
