BACKGROUND:
The definition of Terrorism is inconsistent across U.S. Government Agencies. Despite the exact definition, Terrorism commonly focuses on conventional attack methods and mass casualties or victim involvement. The Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Defense and Department of State each have a slightly different definition.
Cyberterrorism is also not a clearly defined term and has been used to characterize events ranging from identity theft to SCADA system disruption.
ASSIGNMENT:
For this assignment:
1)Describe, and compare and contrast the definitions of Terrorism for each of the following agencies: Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Justice (DoJ), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS).
2)Develop a definition of Cyberterrorism that includes the tenants of traditional attack methods combined with the consequences of a cyber-attack
