The gist of the essay topic comes at you in two parts:
1. select any three texts (chapter excerpts and/or films) and discuss the common link amongst the three.
2. then, address how closely the NYT Discussion Board posts from peers from Week 1 addressed that common link. Address these two parts, while keeping your essay in the 3rd person, and maintaining faithfulness to the essay topic question, while using supporting quotes, and you’ll be good. Remember, too, that the final exam is much shorter, so even an essay with a single body paragraph (plus introduction & conclusion, of course) to encompass the above will work.
