The central question that the paper will address is: how can we assess the ways that the Thin Green Line communicates climate change?

First, outline the central argument(s) that Hammond makes in his book. Be sure to pay close attention to some of the…
Key constituencies that he discusses: celebrities (activist-celebrities and celebrity activists), political elites, the public, etc.
Key categories of discourse he says we find in climate communication: political vs therapeutic, political vs post-political, ecological vs anti-capitalist, individualized vs structural, engaging vs disengaging, etc.

Next, watch the film and outline how these discourses are used or not. Ask the following questions of the film as you watch:
What discourses from Hammond are present in this film? How do they engage those discourses?
What constituencies is this film engaging with? Who are they asking to speak, and who are they speaking to?
What kinds of actions does the film say is the solution to climate change? How does the film engage the audience in taking action on climate change?
How does this film compare with some of the other films that Hammond critiques in his book?
