Chapter 6: Substance Use Assessment
Chapter 7: Domestic and Family Violence Assessments
Prepare to discuss the following prompts:
Using a real-world clinical example, but keeping HIPAA regulations in mind, discuss an example of how you have seen substance abuse or domestic and family violence impact a clients health.
Choose a screening tool for substance use and a screening tool used for domestic or family violence (from the text, research, or one you have used in clinical practice) and discuss when and how the screening tool should be incorporated.
Write an initial response to the discussion prompts and post it to the discussion forum by the end of the fourth day. Your initial post should include four paragraphs that include a minimum of three sentences each and two sources correctly cited and referenced, to support your information.Identify at least one community resource for substance use and one for domestic and family violence (total of two). Examine and present their mission statements.
Research and select at least two current scholarly sources to support your explanations and insights.
