Article Assessment: Exploration Assignment (Module 2: Week 2)
For this assignment, but you must find an article that is relevant to the topic of
exploration, broadly understood.
I recommend that you complete the non-textbook reading/viewing materials before
completing this assignment as it will be easier to choose an article that fits the theme.
Remember that you need to choose a source that is relevant to a non-western focused
history course.
For this assignment, you have a bibliography of sources (found in the Resources section)
that you may/are encouraged to use in the first Article Assessment Assignment. There
are a variety of articles and topics provided in order to give you a good idea of the
breadth of topics that you might cover in relation to our theme. As a result, however,
some of these sources do not meet all of the guidelines otherwise listed here. You are
welcome to use any of the articles in the bibliography for Module 2: Week 2, but you
should keep in mind the impact that those differences might have on how we understand
history and that you should follow the above requirements for articles you select yourself.
