Watch Set It Off and compare to The Hate U Give. How do the films address ideas in Herstory: Black Lives Matter and/or ideas in one of the other readings, Rock-a-Bye Baby or What it do Shorty? How do the films address stereotypes, gender, and/or power relationships in the films? Consider how race affects or does not affect power and knowledge, and what is considered true or truth. Pick one of the issues suggested above to focus on and then compose a thesis around that idea to compare/contrast Set It Off and The Hate U Give. Pick one focus. Do not address everything.
