Recently in microbiology lab class I have completed tests using the Kirby Baver method to determine antibiotic sensitivity. We are now required to complete a lab report on the procedure we did and the results. I will provide the instructions for the paper from the professor below and will add additional files of notes, procedures, materials used, results, and book we use.
ZERO sources are required.
The reports should follow the following outline:
Introduction: Give the background to the topic. Why is it important? Briefly explain what you are going to do
in the experiment (i.e., state the Objective of the experiment).
Procedures: Explain what organisms, materials and methods were used in the experiments. How did you do it?
Results: Present the results. Point out key or unexpected results.
Conclusion: What was the significance of your results? Explain the importance of the experiment, and whether
or not your outcome was consistent with what was expected.
Actually use the headings given above! Tables, graphs, etc. may be helpful. Do not remove pages from your
manual. Use the past tense! Explain what you did, not what to do! While this is not an English class, bear in
mind that correct grammar and spelling are important, and deductions will be made for excessive mistakes in
these areas.
