Purpose: to ensure that note taking is being done correctly in order to minimize plagiarism issues.
Post: Choose one of your notes–a quotation or a paraphrase, and post it in the Checking Note Taking discussion board. Your note card should include the following:
source information (at least the authors name or a part of the book or article title)
page number if available
content label
quotation marks for a quote
your own words for a paraphrase
only one idea (each note you take should be one idea per note)
