In my philosophy class, we have to write a 3-page essay choosing from one of the topics derived from the book “Leviathan” by Thomas Hobbes. Attached in the paper number 2 guidelines leviathan file are the instructions and topics that we must choose from. In that same attached file, I have the topic of which I have chosen to write about highlighted in yellow. My answer is NO to the question that is being asked in my chosen topic. I would like my essay to discuss the three principal causes of quarrel in human nature that Hobbes discusses in Book I, Chapter XIII, Paragraphs 6-8 (competition, diffidence, and glory). Attached are the four pages of Chapter 13 that I would like some of my sources for my essay to come from. The professor is asking that we use quite a bit of in text citation from the book in this essay. That is not to neglect the fact that she still wouldn’t mind other outside sources. Thanks in advance!
