You have been assigned an artist from the Abstract Expressionist era to research and analyze and write about. Though you will include some biographical information, your paper should yield more thoughtful reflection on the artists work, concept of art,
identity as an artist, and working methods (studio concept). Include: How do they & their work sit in relation to other works, artists & movements? How does their work relate to their own social/ historical context as well as our current one? What impact have they made on the course of Modern or Postmodern Art? What critical affirmation and criticism have they received? What are your own critical thoughts about their work? (You should be able to discuss the meaning of their work beyond I like it or
I dont like it.).
o Use multiple methods of analysis
o Minimum 7 pages, 12pt type, double-spaced.
