Introduction to Digital Photography
Due: Upload to Brightspace prior to start of class on
QCO #1
Quote. Comment. Question.
For this week’s QCQ, you are asked to respond to a
photographers work by referencing a quote either said
by that photographer, or someone else regarding their
work, i.e., from an article on their work.
Next, you’ll write a comment on why that quote
resonates with you. Do you agree or disagree? Is it
poetic or blunt? Does it qive you deeper insight into their
practice? Does it provide a new way of looking at
something? (These are just examples of what to consider
when finding a quote- you do not have to answer them
specitically)
Lastly, provide a question about the
work/quote/artist/etc. This should be something that
you are curious about. What kind of questions does the
work ask of you? Is the work challenging? Is it
complicated? What is the work addressing, and how does
that engage with issues in contemporary culture? ETC
(Again, these are just examples of what to consider and
do not need to be answered specifically) We will be
presenting our QCQ’s to class, so this question will be
something to chew on together.
Your QCQ must be pulled from one of the 3 sources
below:
https://www.1854.photographyL
https://www.magnumphotos.com/
. You must attach the link to the artwork/article/gallery
at either the top or bottom of your response.
Response must be submitted in PDF form or directly in
the comment section of the Blackboard submission
portal
