Describe your understanding of diversity of Native Americans, please review PPT.

Question 2 – explain your understanding of Sovereighty and the federal government responsbilities with provide specific services. Review Weaver and course readings. Please describe how sovereighty is embedded into the US Constitution and what specific entitled services the federal government is responsible for (i.e. what does Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Education and Indian Health Services). What conflicts are present with Native American communities with state and local governments.

Question 3 – Use the Weave textbook to provide ansewer to Canadian’s government’s relationship with Canadian/First Nations communities. Describe the relationship and what differences do Canadian/First Nations have with their government as compared to Native American in the United States.

Question 4 – Describe what government actions that affected Native American communities (explain how colonization as impacted Native Americans). I’m looking for specific actions that include General Allottment, Boarding Schools, Urban Relocation Program, Indian Child Welfare and make sure you look at the impact of each government action. The more you list, the better you demonstrate your knowledge. Look at Adverse Childhood Experiences and how this impacts the physical health and mental health of Native American communities.
