Assignment Content

The Course Capstone Project is a sustained research and analysis project that you will work on throughout the course. In this project, you will write a proposal to create and maintain a partnership or coalition that will have a positive impact on your selected health issue.

Complete the following tasks this week:

Review the research you’ve conducted about the health issue and the target population.
Review your ideal group membership based on this week’s reading on stakeholders and the goals and mission you established last week. Are there other participants that you need to include? How can they contribute to moving the initiative forward? This process can be circular and dynamic.
Research potential barriers to the success of your coalition/partnership/committee. Identify and describe what you can do to prevent them, how you will identify them, and what you can do to overcome them.
Consider the following:
Turf issues or bad history among members
Failure to create leadership among members
A feeling of equity among members despite titles or positions outside of the group
Write a 2-page summary of your findings. Your summary must include the following:
Revised description of your ideal participants:
Group participants according to the stakeholder category
Describe newly added participants and provide the rationale for including them.
Describe how new participants will contribute to the overall success of the group.
Provide a detailed description of potential barriers to your success.
Describe detailed plans to prevent, mitigatcixe, or overcome the potential barriers.
